- Kombucha recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
Green or black tea
2 cups of starter tea – prefer previous batch or store-bought
1 SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast)
Directions:
Boil 4 cups of water, then add sugar into it.
Then add in the tea bags and steep until cool.
Remove the tea bags and pour this sweetened tea into a large jar.
Add the starter tea, then gently place the SCOBY on top.
Cover the top of the jar with a cloth, and secure that cloth in place with a rubber band.
Allow to ferment to sour, at room temperature, to your liking.
